High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a workout that alternates short periods of intense exercise with low-intensity recovery periods. While perhaps more intense than other workouts, HIIT workouts are efficient, allowing you to reap maximum health benefits in a shorter amount of time. So much so, HIIT workouts of event 10 to 30 minutes can produce the results of twice as much time spent on moderate exercise!
